MONTEBELLO RHUMS – A FAMILY’S CRAFTSMANSHIP STORY
From the creation of the small Carrère distillery in 1930 through the extraordinary development led by the Marsolle family up to this day.
The history of Montebello is strewn with difficulties overcame with determination and success and achieved thanks to a winning trio: work, ingenuity and creativity. Since the early 20th century, combining tradition and innovation, the Marsolle have succeeded to make Montebello flourish. A company with craftsmanship that has become a flagship of Guadeloupe rhum.
Tasting Notes:
Sight: This rhum reveals a golden color with amber reflections.
Nose: Immediately, a buttery wood scent captivates us. Candied citrus, cooked sugar and blackberry indulge the nose.
Palate: The opening is smooth and silky, revealing notes of stone fruit like apricote and stewed fruit. Magnificent balance between the aromas of the raw material and the barrel.
Aroma: jemné ovocné tóny (především banánu a manga), vanilka, dřeviny v pozadí
Chuť: velice jemná dřevitá, kořeněná až bylinková s chutí cukrové třtiny kdesi v dálce
Závěr: dlouhý, polosuchý, lehce pikantní s dřevitými tóny
Dobrý, ale na mě moc uhlazené, diskrétní,… 6/10
Odeur banane mure, un peu trop d alcool , goût correct, très long en bouche

Doftade gott men det var allt, spritig smak som hade liknelse till grappa och slibovitz. En katastrofal rom.

Definitely not a sipping rum. Has quite a bite to it. Would work will in a mixed drink, like a Mai Tai.

Excellent rhum. guadeloupeen. tres parfumé pour un 3 ans. les cannes de labas cest la folie. Bref un bon rhum vieux agricole. Les non initiés qui trouvent ça “trop alcoolisé” forcement cest un agricole. Prenez un XO si vous voulez du vieux ou une liqueur au chocolat si vous voulez du sirop 😆
