A Journey Through Thailand's Rich Culture, Mythology, and Artisanal Distillation
The Nagas are one of the cultural and mythological links that unite the immense territory that stretches from the Bay of Benegal to the Java Sea, from then Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. The figure of Naga is associated with water and fertility: the naga can be protective, nurturing and even creative. And although they live in their own kingdom, some nagas can transform themselves to visit the world og humans in the form of a snake or a handsome young man. Thailand, known as the “Land of smiles” offers a unique travel experience, blending a rih culture, dreamy beaches, exquisite cuisine, and legendary hospitality. Beyond its charms, Thailand is also renowned for producing exceptional artisanal rums. Explore its cultural treasures, savor exotic flavors, and enjoy renowned rums in this tropical paradise.
Distillation process:
1. Sugar Cane is grown and processed into molasses in the distillery plantations.
2. NAGA Siam Edition rum is distilled 5 times in columns.
3. The rum is then aged at the distillery, in 200 liters American oak casks ex-bourbon. In orer to maintain a constant temperatue, the cellar is located below ground level. 4. The angel share is still between 7% and 9% per year.
5. The barrelse are racked several times and refilled with an equivalent aged rum.
Tasting Notes:
Distilled meticulously using a clumn still, our rum finds its origin in the finest molasses from Thai sugar cannes. Aged for a full 12 years through the dynamic process in charred bourbon barrels, their rum develops character that is truly exquisite. As it ages, the wood imparts a tapestry of flavors, from the depth of vanilla and caramel to the subtle whisper of herbs and vegetal notes.

Nez: boisé, notes de cuir puis arrive les Esthers qui s’installent (ils se dissipe une fois aéré)
Bouche: l’alcool arrive tout de suite puis laisse derrière lui des belles notes boisées et de boîte a cigare.
Manque tout de même un peu de rondeur.
Finale assez longue et agréable sur le côté boisé léger et cigare

Unique tasting rum. It is light. Not much of a molasses taste.Slight tastes of herbs. This can be a sipping rum, but can also be used in mixed drinks.

Personnellement je le trouve un peu trop âpre en bouche, donne une impression d’être plus fort que les 40 deg.

Nice smell like real Rum jas, but herbal taste in the end.
Definitely taste charred. But in a wonderful way. Its very strange but very easy to drink.

I give this 3½. I wasn’t keen on that subtle herb note. Couldn’t place the flavour but imagined ginseng or galagal.
Very smooth.
To me the char was was less a note and more of an acrid burn that over powered the hints of the other more subtle flavours

I got a sour smell initially but after tasting definitely a vanilla aroma.
Taste- strong alcohol burn but ok. Nice after taste but not sure what flavour im tasting.
